Natural, creative and relaxed is the three words to best describe Northern Rivers wedding photographer Amy Baxter. Born on the Central Coast and raised on the North Coast, Amy has a keen interest in nature and an appreciation for the smaller details in life which plays an important role in her photography. Amy’s career began as a hobby but due to the passion and the drive she gained from taking photos she soon began to venture into wedding photography, working with wonderful wedding photographers such as Focus Films in Brisbane and Lisa Ford from Byron Bay. Then finally she decided to venture out on her own, and thus Amy Kate Photography was born.
Amy loves it when she can incorporate her love for photography with her other love- travel. She has photographed numerous destination weddings from Noosa, Gosford, Coonabarabran, Jindabyne and all the way to exotic places like Fiji and Hawaii. Her style is very much photojournalism and her main aim is to tell your story by photographing the smaller things such as a love message from an awaiting groom, a teddy bear from Grandma or Daddy’s photo up on the wall watching over everyone. She likes to capture the raw emotion and the significance of a moment rather than posing and ‘setting up’ a photo. She is all about preserving the memory and so will treat each photography session individually with fresh ideas and a style to suit your own.
